WHAT TYPES OF SERVICES ARE PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS NOT ALLOWED TO PERFORM?

Although as Private Investigators, we have access to information the general public cannot obtain, we are bound to the same basic laws as citizens. Several things we are not allowed to do include wire tapping, accessing the content of phone records and text messaging, and posing as law enforcement officials.

HOW IS A CHILD CUSTODY INVESTIGATION PERFORMED?

During a child custody investigation, we will use the necessary means of surveillance to investigate the treatment of a child and legally document instances of abuse or neglect. We gather concrete evidence by photos, video recordings and audio recordings. We may also question potential witnesses such as friends or family members and provide background checks on relevant parties.

WHAT TYPES OF THINGS DO INVESTIGATORS LOOK FOR IN FAMILY LAW CASES?

Investigators look for cues such as drug or alcohol abuse, illegal and criminal activity and reckless and negligent behavior or anything that can affect the safety and security of the child.  We seek to ensure the child is provided with a safe environment, proper nourishment, a clean living area and emotional and psychological support.

WHAT ARE COMMON TYPE OF CASES INVOLVING FRAUD?

During cases involving fraud, our investigators seek to determine whether a misrepresentation has taken place with an intent to deceive. Some common types of fraud include exaggerating or falsifying insurance claims to include Workers Comp or staging accidents in the workplace or a place of business. Additionally, fraud can occur online through scammers in internet classified sites or ticketing websites.
